The firm of Eltvedt & O‘Sullivan was constituted in 1982 and emanates from the firm of Eltvedt & Knapp which was itself founded in Marseille in 1896. Eltvedt & O‘Sullivan is composed of international marine lawyers and claims investigators forming an experienced claims adjusting team acting principally for P&l Clubs and their Members, as also for Ship Operators, Charterers, Finance Houses and Insurance Companies.

Our claims assignments are generally centred on solving charter-party and bill of lading disputes, collisions, salvage and G.A problems, together with investigation of total losses. marine personal injury claims, as also negotiation of Customs fines, together with the day to day stowawaylimmigration problems and handling of standard liner claims. The firm also handles arbitration and conciliation matters and monitors litigation before wide ranging jurisdictions.
